Job summary

ASUS is seeking a System Administrator to manage and secure our IT infrastructure in Fremont, CA. The role drives automation, AI integration, and OKR-based IT execution, ensuring stability and high performance of networks, AD, email, web services, and backups.

You will oversee Windows and Linux systems, AD, antivirus, email platforms, and storage. The position requires collaboration with HQ IT and occasional travel, with a strong focus on documentation and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of computer networks, including hardware/software support and projects.
• Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure.
• Deploy, manage, and maintain antivirus solutions.
• Ensure systems are updated with latest antivirus definitions.
• Administer AD, including user/group mgmt, GPOs, health monitoring.
• Implement security policies and permissions in AD.
• Manage corporate email systems ensuring reliability and security.
• Troubleshoot email-related issues and optimize performance.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain web servers and related services.
• Ensure availability, security, and performance of web apps.
• Implement and manage backup solutions; ensure data integrity.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and test regularly.
• Manage storage infrastructure; monitor usage.
• Monitor system performance with monitoring tools.
• Respond to system alerts and resolve performance issues.
• Develop automated scripts and workflows for provisioning and configuration.
• Evaluate and manage AI solutions to optimize IT workflows.
• Align operations with management OKRs.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, processes, procedures.
• Generate and analyze system performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with security policies.
• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting.
• Mentor junior IT staff.
• Cooperate with HQ IT for infra-related projects.
