Job summary
District Department of Transportation (DDOT) seeks an IT Specialist to deliver comprehensive IT support, troubleshoot hardware/software, configure systems, and support enterprise IT operations across the agency. The role emphasizes incident resolution, service requests, and end-user assistance in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong Windows, MacOS, and Microsoft 365 experience, familiarity with Active Directory, and a solid grasp of ITIL practices to drive reliable IT
Qualifications
- Experience with Windows and MacOS environments.
- Strong Microsoft 365 suite skills (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Experience with Active Directory and basic networking concepts.
- Familiarity with ITIL incident, problem, and change management.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary IT support contact via phone, email, ticketing system, and in person.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues at basic and advanced levels.
- Assist users with account access, MFA, and identity management tasks.
- Perform workstation setup, imaging, deployment, and peripheral configuration.
- Support enterprise applications and departmental systems.
- Document all interactions and procedures in the ticketing system.
- Escalate issues and collaborate with admins, infrastructure teams, and vendors.
- Manage user accounts, groups, and file permissions.
- Provide guidance and knowledge sharing with support staff.
- Assist with system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
