Sr. IT Support Specialist
Remote position but will be required to travel to facilities as needed. Must live within 2 hours driving distance to the site.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support for hardware and software via phone, email, and in person.
- Respond to technical issues related to desktops, servers, phones, and systems.
- Configure and set up new PC/laptop hardware.
- Manage and maintain assigned systems.
- Maintain responsible management of company assets.
- Assist in enterprise data protection efforts for disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Assist with administration and installation of the company's infrastructure.
- Maintain the company's telephone system.
- Recommend and plan IT strategies to support company objectives based on research and evaluation.
- Handle stressful situations professionally and interact effectively with others.
- Be present at the office during working hours for meetings and access to a computer, in accordance with company policy.
- Stay updated on IT trends and regulations to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Follow all security policies to maintain system and data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Perform other IT-related projects as needed.
- Participate in department meetings and activities.
- Respond promptly and accurately to support inquiries.
- Remain composed in stressful environments and meet deadlines with multiple priorities.
- Follow instructions and apply critical thinking to decision-making.
- Comply with internal controls, policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Maintain regular attendance and professional conduct.
- Support company mission through positive interactions with staff.
- Conduct special projects as assigned.
- Provide after-hours on-call support as directed by the IT Manager.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Minimum five years’ experience with enterprise IT systems management or a BS in Information Technology with certifications (A+, MCP, MCSA, MCTS).
- Over five years’ experience in Help Desk support in a Windows environment supporting end users.
- Expertise in Windows desktops and MS Office.
- Experience with Windows Server, Exchange, and Virtualization.
- Strong communication, training, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Superior customer service skills, ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment with diverse activities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple priorities daily.
- Satisfactory references and criminal background check.
- Flexible, cooperative, and adherent to professional standards and practices.
