Job summary

United Biosource Corporation seeks a Sr. IT Security Analyst to protect our IT landscape across Azure Cloud and on-prem. You will perform threat intelligence analysis, assist incident response, and ensure compliance with ISO 27000, HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA.

This hands-on role collaborates with IT, engineering, and business teams to implement secure configurations, conduct risk assessments, and manage vulnerability lifecycle. Flexible hours and on-call rotations are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer related field or 4–6 years equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant IT security experience, preferably in Azure cloud.
• Certification in Information Security (GIAC GSEC, Security+, CISSP, CySA+ or equivalent).
• Familiarity with GDPR, 21CFR part 11, HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Strong understanding of information security principles and frameworks.
• Hands-on vulnerability management experience including scanning and remediation coordination.
• Experience with automated vulnerability scanning tools and web app scanning solutions.
• Knowledge of web app security concepts (OWASP Top 10) and common attack techniques.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud security controls (MS Intune, MS ATP, MS Purview, AD, IAM).
• Strong documentation and communications skills.
• Incident response experience; knowledge of digital forensics is a plus.
• Programming/scripting experience is a plus; cloud architecture experience a plus.
• Experience with AI tools and their uses is a plus.
• Ability to coordinate with teams and adapt to evolving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure security controls are deployed and aligned with policies and standards.
• Monitor, review, analyze, and respond to security alerts from various platforms.
• Tune and optimize security alerts to reduce false positives.
• Ensure assets are onboarded and reported to monitoring and vulnerability tools.
• Lead vulnerability management lifecycle: scans, prioritize, remediate, verify fixes.
• Manage web application security scans and provide remediation guidance to dev teams.
• Monitor threat intelligence feeds for emerging threats relevant to the organization.
• Participate in incident response activities: identify, contain, eradicate, recover.
• Assess and implement updated security measures for changing threats and regulatory needs.
• Develop secure configurations, standards, and policies with IT/engineering teams.
• Assist projects in implementing security measures to meet policies and external governance (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA).
• Maintain up-to-date security documentation for systems and processes.
• Collaborate with security team members on initiatives and best practices.
• Support annual security initiatives and defined deliverables.
• Take part in special projects and other duties as assigned.
