Job summary

Scotiabank - Global Banking and Markets is seeking a senior IT Risk professional to advance the U.S. Cyber and IT Risk Management Framework and provide independent oversight across the second line of defense in the United States, with a focus on governance, reporting, and risk mitigation.

The role collaborates with lines of business to challenge the IT risk landscape, leads deep dives into controls, and delivers risk reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in technology and/or risk management.
• Strong understanding of IT risk frameworks in banking.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to challenge and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
• Industry certifications such as ISACA CRISC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the U.S. Cyber and IT Risk Management Framework as a center of excellence.
• Consult with lines of business to advise on IT risks impacting objectives.
• Challenge IT risk components in RCSA processes for the U.S.
• Lead investigations into IT incidents to identify root causes and remediation actions.
• Perform Deep Dives and Independent Reviews to assess controls and mitigate risk.
• Monitor Cybersecurity risks and external reporting that may impact the bank.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly IT and Cyber Risk reporting for committees and senior management.
