Job summary

CIBC US is seeking a Senior Consultant, Business Controls – Practice Management to lead transformation of the US CAO/TDAI 1B program. You will shape Governance, Risk & Control strategies, enhance incidents and issues management, and align with bank standards and regulatory requirements while driving efficiency across the organization.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across lines of defense, harness data analytics and AI, and guide teams through training and tools to strengthen risk

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in Risk Management and Practice Management within the financial industry.
• Proven ability to develop, lead, and execute GRC strategies in a fast-paced financial services environment.
• Strong strategic thinking and long-term planning aligned with organizational goals.
• Collaborative leader with ability to work across multiple lines of defense and geographies.

Responsibilities

• GRC Strategy Leadership: develop and assess comprehensive GRC strategies aligned with risk appetite and business goals.
• 1B Risk Practice Management Program: design and implement a framework to drive efficiency in issues, controls, incidents, and metrics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across US CAI/TDAI and Canada for cross-functional coordination.
• Drive continuous improvement through technology, automation, and AI reporting to senior leadership.
• Provide training, consultation, and tools; advocate for a strong risk culture across teams.
