Job summary

BMO Financial Group seeks a senior Managing Director to lead Cyber & Technology Risk, overseeing independent oversight and risk assessment across cybersecurity, technology controls, and emerging tech risks. This role sits in the 2nd line of defense and reports to senior leadership.

The position requires extensive cyber risk experience, strong leadership, and the ability to drive risk maturity and regulatory reporting. Excellent communication with executives and regulators is essential.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree is required; Professional certifications (CISSP, CCSP, AWS CCP, etc.) beneficial
• Extensive cyber security and technology risk experience with governance across a large, regulated organization
• Ability to lead and mentor a diverse risk team and drive independent oversight across enterprise risk domains

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise-wide second line technology and cyber risk oversight strategy.
• Provide independent oversight over risk assessments, control testing, and remediation actions.
• Lead governance and reporting for technology and cyber risk to executives, regulators, and boards.
