This hands-on role partners with Development, Product, business teams, and Quality Engineering to investigate complex issues, improve release confidence, and ensure systems and data work reliably across critical workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • API Quality Ownership Own the API test strategy, coverage, execution, and ongoing maintenance. Validate REST and SOAP services, payloads, authentication, business rules, error handling, and data integrity using tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI. Design positive, negative, boundary, and failure-path tests for APIs and integrations. Investigate API and data defects using logs, SQL, specifications, and system behavior; partner with technical teams to identify root causes.
  • Functional & Business Process Testing Translate business requirements and risk into clear test plans, scenarios, and traceable coverage. Execute end-to-end, regression, smoke, exploratory, and release-readiness testing across customer and operational workflows. Validate critical workflows across multiple systems, including production support and post-release testing when needed.
  • Integration Testing Validate system-to-system workflows, data exchanges, synchronization, and transaction integrity across enterprise platforms. Identify integration risks and failure points, analyze defects, and collaborate with technical and business teams on resolution.
  • Quality Engineering Leadership Improve QA standards, defect prevention, root cause analysis, and risk-based testing practices. Contribute to planning, refinement, triage, retrospectives, and release decisions. Mentor QA team members and advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Automation Collaboration Identify automation candidates based on business risk, repeatability, and value. Partner with SDETs to make manual tests automation-ready and review automated coverage. Support continuous improvement of test design, documentation, and CI/CD quality practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of software quality assurance experience, including 3+ years of hands‑on API testing.
  • Experience testing complex enterprise applications, integrations, and end-to-end business workflows.

Testing Expertise
  • Expertise in functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and defect management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize risk, and clearly communicate quality concerns.
Technical Skills
  • SQL and database validation experience.
  • Ability to analyze logs, data, and system behavior across integrated applications.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or a similar work management tool.
  • Working knowledge of software architecture, CI/CD, and test automation concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
