Job summary

CAI is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead technology projects from initiation to closure in a remote contract role. You will drive delivery within scope, schedule, and budget while collaborating with sponsors and cross-functional teams to ensure governance and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in project management, strong stakeholder communication, and experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. This contract role offers remote work flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive professional experience in project management, including large engineering projects.
• Experience managing projects through full lifecycle and developing plans, budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, issue management, and change control.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Planisware and familiarity with Agile and Waterfall.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initiation through closure within timelines, budgets, and scope.
• Develop project charters, objectives, deliverables, budgets, and schedules with sponsors and stakeholders.
• Monitor plans, risks, issues, dependencies, resources, and change requests.
• Communicate status, milestones, risks, and decisions to stakeholders, PMOs, and steering committees.
• Coordinate resources and staffing with functional managers.
• Ensure deliverables meet governance standards and documentation requirements.
• Lead risk identification, mitigation, and change management processes.
• Track financials, allocations, forecasts, and recovery plans across fiscal periods.
• Collaborate to define and realize project benefits and business value.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned.
• Lead project closeout activities with leadership through summaries and reviews.
