Job summary

CAI is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead technology initiatives from initiation through closure on a remote contract. You will manage budgets, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communications, applying Agile or Waterfall methodologies to deliver results.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of PM experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with tools like MS Project or Planisware. This position offers remote work with flexible scheduling while supporting enterprise projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of progressive professional experience in project management, including large engineering projects
• Demonstrated experience managing projects through full lifecycle
• Experience developing project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocations
• Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, issue management, and change control processes
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Planisware, or similar platforms
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initiation through closure, ensuring delivery within approved timelines, budgets, and scope
• Develop project charters, define objectives, deliverables, resource requirements, budgets, and schedules with sponsors
• Monitor project plans, risks, issues, dependencies, resources, and change requests
• Communicate project status, milestones, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders, PMOs, and steering committees
• Coordinate project resources and negotiate staffing needs with functional managers as required
• Ensure all project deliverables and documentation comply with established project management standards and governance requirements
• Facilitate risk identification, mitigation planning, issue resolution, and change management processes
• Track project financials, resource allocations, forecasts, and recovery plans across fiscal periods
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define, measure, and realize project benefits and business value
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through lessons learned, process enhancements, and project management best practices
• Lead project closeout activities, including project summaries, presentations, and closure reviews with leadership teams
