Job summary

Jefferson County is seeking an IT Project Manager III to lead large, cross-functional technology initiatives with organization-wide impact. You will plan, execute, and deliver projects meeting scope, schedule, budget, and objectives, coordinating internal teams, vendors, and sponsors.

The role supports a four-day work week (Mon-Thu) with optional five-day weeks, and a hybrid model balancing remote and in-office work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration or related field
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
• PMP certification is preferred for this role

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technology projects through planning, execution, and implementation.
• Develop and maintain project plans with scope, milestones, and resources.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage vendor/consultant performance.
• Develop and manage project budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Monitor progress, risks, issues, and change requests; report to leadership.
