Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager / AVP to orchestrate IT project lifecycles from initiation through closure. This role interfaces with IT, IS and vendors to align with business plans and enterprise governance.

The position requires strong leadership, budgeting, and cross-functional coordination across complex banking technology initiatives, with a hybrid work model in a large, diversified financial services company.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of related experience.
• Financial Services or Financial systems at mid-to-large organizations experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Resolve non-routine problems.
• Exercise judgement within defined procedures and practices.
• Require minimum supervision.
• Track project actuals vs. budget. Validate receipt of goods/services before authorizing invoice payments.

Responsibilities

• The Senior IT Project Manager orchestrates initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closing of projects with a defined beginning and end.
• Communicates and integrates IT activities into the broader business plan.
• Acts as primary contact for project stakeholders across IT, IS, and vendors.
• Provides technology artifacts to support governance through ePMO processes and Clarity updates.
• Defines and maintains project plans, including scope, milestones, dependencies and deliverables.
• Interfaces with enterprise architecture, core banking systems and SaaS frameworks.
• Creates, manages and reports on projects, programs, technology and budgets.
