Job summary

Civicworks in Montpelier oversees a High‑level IT project portfolio focused on finance workstreams and reporting. The IT Project Manager IV leads planning, budgeting, risk oversight and stakeholder coordination with Finance, IT teams and SMEs. Travel and telework flexibility within Vermont are possible.

The role emphasizes creating baselined plans, tracking dependencies, and presenting updates to management and the legislature in a dynamic state environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/public administration/IT or PMP with 3+ years PM experience.
• 3+ years IT project management across finance, accounting, procurement, grants, budgeting.
• Ability to manage dependencies across Finance, OCM, data, integrations, reporting, testing, and training.
• Proficiency in creating baselined project plans (scope, schedule, cost).
• Experience with risk mitigation, earned value management and document control.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute project work plans with clear scope, schedule and cost baselines.
• Manage resources, budgets and vendor relationships as needed.
• Track risks, dependencies and change requests across workstreams.
• Present status updates to management and the legislature.
• Coordinate with Finance leads, IT staff and subject matter experts.
