Job summary

Apptad Inc. seeks an EHR Project Manager to lead complex Health IT initiatives in Harrisburg, PA. This hybrid role requires overseeing the full EHR/EMR implementation lifecycle, from planning to transition into operations, coordinating with vendors and senior leadership.

The ideal candidate will have an active PMP, 5+ years PM experience in health IT, and a track record delivering large-scale EHR projects, including transitioning from paper-based records to electronic systems.

Qualifications

• Active PMP certification and at least 5 years of project management experience.
• Proven experience leading the implementation of a new EHR/EMR system.
• Experience transitioning charting/medical records from paper to electronic systems.
• Experience managing the full EHR implementation lifecycle including planning, execution, testing, governance and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end EHR/EMR implementation projects across multiple IT teams and vendors.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, risks, issues, and milestones.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors and senior leadership to ensure success.

Job Description:

• Active PMP certification from PMI for at least 5 years
• 7 9 years of relevant Project Management experience
• Proven experience leading the implementation of a new EHR/EMR system
• Experience transitioning an organization from paper-based charting/medical records to an electronic system
• Experience leading the full EHR implementation lifecycle, including planning, execution, testing, governance, and transition to operations
• Strong experience in Health IT, EHR/EMR, or Health Informatics
• Experience managing complex technical initiatives involving multiple IT teams and vendors
• Strong project planning, scheduling, risk/issue management, stakeholder communication, and delivery experience
• Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM)
• Experience working with public health programs or government healthcare organizations
• Experience with large-scale enterprise or Commonwealth/state-level IT implementations
• Experience coordinating training, testing, change management, and go-live activities
