Job summary

Adecco Canada in Ottawa, Ontario, is seeking an IT Project Manager for a full-time temporary contract to lead large-scale technology initiatives across enterprise environments. Qualifications

• University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration.
• At least ten (10) years of recent experience as a Senior Project Management Specialist leading large projects (40+ project resources over multiple years) in a complex environment.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience utilizing Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) for strategic IT project execution.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and articulate value, translating business needs into project objectives and solutions.
• Proven ability to create clear and concise documentation tailored for both senior executives and technical teams.
• Demonstrated proficiency in facilitation and problem resolution.
• SCRUM Master Certification
• PMP Certification
• Knowledge of the Banks functions and core business processes is a plus.
• Experience deploying Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Azure Cloud solutions is an advantage.
• Ability to establish effective and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Proficiency in French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise throughout all project phases, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, project teams, and cross-functional groups using established best practices and methodologies.
• Oversee project execution from planning through solution selection, configuration, implementation, and operational transition, ensuring optimal resource utilization and adherence to timelines and performance metrics.
• Create comprehensive project plans and prioritize tasks to fulfill objectives, facilitating teamwork as necessary.
• Manage project risks, issues, and interdependencies while delivering defined objectives and work plans within agreed quality and time constraints.
• Prepare and present proposals, project plans, status updates, and risk documentation to support analysis and communicate progress, challenges, and issues.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment on client needs and prompt resolution of concerns.
• Skillfully manage and communicate unexpected project developments, including re-planning and adjustments.
• Operate independently with minimal oversight from senior management.
• Provide consistent project status updates on progress and value to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure completion of all project deliverables, documentation, and required procedural steps
• Undertake additional related activities and deliverables as necessary
