The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, PMP preferred, and will coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and executive stakeholders to ensure on-time, within-budget results

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional IT project management experience overseeing large IT software/infrastructure projects.
• Advanced experience managing Agile projects.
• Strong experience controlling scope, schedules, budgets and resources.
• Proven vendor management and coordination experience.
• Experience drafting or reviewing SOWs, RFPs, or contracts.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage large-scale IT software development and infrastructure projects involving 50+ team members.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and resource allocation strategies.
• Manage project scope, timelines, costs, risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
• Apply Agile project management methodologies to drive efficient project execution and delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors.
• Monitor project performance and ensure deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and business objectives.
• Manage vendor relationships, track contractual deliverables, and resolve project-related escalations.
• Participate in the development and review of Statements of Work (SOWs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and contractual documentation.
• Prepare project status reports, executive presentations, risk assessments, and progress updates for senior leadership.
• Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder discussions, and decision-making sessions.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Exercise independent judgment and initiative in managing complex projects with minimal supervision.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead large-scale, strategic, and complex IT software and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile project management, project planning, budget management, vendor coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

The selected candidate will provide project oversight, leadership, and accountability while coordinating cross-functional teams, external vendors, and executive-level stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

• Demonstrated experience in vendor management and coordination.
• Experience writing or participating in the development of SOWs, RFPs, or contracts.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex project dependencies.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience managing large, complex, enterprise-level IT initiatives.
• Experience working with executive-level stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with government or public-sector IT projects is an advantage

Work Location and Availability Requirements

• Candidates must currently reside within 90 miles of Lansing, Michigan, at the time of submission.
• The role requires a hybrid work schedule with onsite presence two days per week, starting on Day 1.
• Remote-only candidates will not be considered.
• Candidates must be available for an in-person second-round interview if required.
