Job summary

TEKsystems in Tempe, AZ is seeking an Expert Level Project Manager for a contract-to-hire role. You will lead complex initiatives, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and facilitate Agile ceremonies while reporting to leadership.

The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder management, risk management, and governance experience, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Hybrid work arrangement in Tempe. Comp range: $56.00–$60.50/hr.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading complex projects from initiation through completion with full ownership of scope, schedule, budget, risks, and deliverables.
• Strong foundation in project management fundamentals including stakeholder management, risk management, change management, project planning, and execution.
• Proven ability to develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
• Experience managing project budgets, forecasting costs, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial accountability.
• Excellent executive communication skills with the ability to provide clear status updates, reports, and presentations to leadership.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders while effectively managing expectations.
• Strong documentation and governance skills with project charters, plans, risk registers, status reports.

Responsibilities

• Leads and oversees projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with goals, timelines, budgets, and stakeholders.
• Facilitates Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups and backlog management, with clear communication to teams and leadership.
• Builds cross-functional partnerships, negotiates priorities, and drives collaboration to deliver outcomes.
• Mentors project management talent and promotes best practices and continuous improvement.
• Applies strategic thinking and business acumen to solve complex challenges, mitigate risks, and deliver on time and within budget.
