Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a hybrid on-site role based in Tempe, AZ. You will lead complex initiatives from initiation through delivery, aligning scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.

The role requires facilitation of Agile ceremonies, status reporting to leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. Strong communication and risk management are essential to drive on-time, in-budget outcomes for the organization.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading complex projects from initiation through completion, with full ownership of scope, schedule, budget, risks, and deliverables.
• Strong foundation in project management fundamentals, including stakeholder management, risk management, change management, project planning, and execution.
• Proven ability to develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
• Experience managing project budgets, forecasting costs, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial accountability.
• Excellent executive communication skills with the ability to provide clear, concise project updates, status reports, and presentations to leadership.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders while effectively managing expectations and driving alignment.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills, including project charters, project plans, risk registers, status reports, and governance documentation.
• Proven ability to identify, assess, mitigate, and communicate project risks and issues in a proactive manner.
• Experience facilitating project meetings, leading cross-functional teams, and driving project accountability.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions, prioritize competing demands, and maintain project momentum in fast-paced environments.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working independently with a high degree of ownership, accountability, and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Leads and oversees projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
• Facilitates Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups and backlog management, and provides clear communication to project teams, stakeholders, and leadership through regular status reporting and performance metrics.
• Builds strong partnerships across cross-functional teams, negotiates priorities, and drives collaboration to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Applies strategic thinking, technical knowledge, and business acumen to solve complex challenges, mitigate risks, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Maintains a strong understanding of organizational strategy, operations, and industry trends to support informed decision-making and drive business value.
