Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an IT Program Manager to oversee large programs and projects within a department or business unit. You will assess processes, advise on methodologies, mentor project managers, and drive team efficiency across the program lifecycle.

You will work with senior leadership to develop strategies, readiness, training, and communications, ensuring on-time delivery within budget. This hybrid Atlanta-based contract role requires PMP certification and a 4-year degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with PMP certification preferred.
• Experience driving enterprise application implementations or software projects.
• Proven ability to lead large cross-functional teams including vendor and full-time staff.
• Strong communication with senior management and stakeholders.
• Advanced project management knowledge and budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a team of project managers to define program scope and plans.
• Serve as the program status reporting hub and governance owner.
• Assess dependencies and monitor progress to stay aligned with objectives.
• Develop and maintain program deliverables across the lifecycle.
• Identify and manage program risk with a formal risk plan.
• Coordinate resources and develop a resource plan with managers.
• Manage relationships among customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Oversee governance and change control processes for the program.
• Handle program estimations, monthly cost accounting, and vendor invoicing.
• Monitor vendor deliverables in line with binding statements of work.
