Job summary

TEKsystems in Charlotte, NC seeks an IT Project Management Director to lead a portfolio of technology programs across the organization. You will oversee governance, resourcing, risk, and stakeholder engagement from initiation to completion.

This role focuses on delivering regulated banking outcomes with cross-functional collaboration across business, technology and operations, in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading complex technology programs, project portfolios, or PMO functions.
• Proven experience managing large-scale technology initiatives within financial services or regulated environments.
• Strong expertise in project and program management, including scope, planning, budgeting, risk management, and delivery governance.
• Knowledge of Capital Markets products and associated Credit Risk.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience establishing PMOs, delivery frameworks, and operational reporting structures.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to translate complex information into actionable insights.
• Familiarity with technology delivery practices, SDLC, and organizational change management.
• Ability to make informed decisions in complex or ambiguous situations balancing business objectives, risks, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of a portfolio of technology programs, ensuring objectives, timelines, budgets, and outcomes are met.
• Establish program governance frameworks, including scope, stakeholders, resource plans, reporting, and delivery standards.
• Build and oversee PMO structures with clear ownership across workstreams.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to align priorities with strategic objectives.
• Monitor performance, risks, dependencies, and financials; take corrective actions as needed.
• Review milestones and deliverables to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Drive transparent reporting and regular progress updates to leadership.
• Promote cross-team collaboration across regions and units to share knowledge and improve delivery.
