Job summary

Eaton seeks a Senior Manager, IT Product Owner to maximize value of Product Engineering and R&D solutions. You will define priorities, manage backlogs, and lead delivery teams in a fast-paced, security-minded environment.

You will partner with business and IT leaders to develop roadmaps, translate needs into epics and stories, and drive Agile, Lean, Scrum, and DevSecOps practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 8 years in IT, Engineering Systems, Product Management, or Program Management.
• Minimum of 3 years of people leadership experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Preferred: Master's degree, MBA, or advanced technical degree.
• 5+ years as Product Owner/Manager/Leader.
• Experience with Enovia or Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE platforms.
• Experience leading digital transformation in Product Engineering or R&D.
• Experience with PLM, CAD, simulation, and data governance.
• Experience managing globally distributed Agile delivery teams.
• Experience with cloud-based architectures, APIs, enterprise integrations, and modern software practices.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps and secure SDLC practices.
• Experience managing technology budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts.
• Agile certifications such as CSPO or SAFe POPM.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Product Engineering and R&D solutions.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand priorities, challenges, and outcomes.
• Translate business needs into product plans, epics, features, and user stories.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value.
• Lead product lifecycle activities from ideation through deployment and support.
• Guide Agile delivery teams to execute roadmap priorities and deliver outcomes.
• Balance new functionality, technical debt, stability, cybersecurity, and support needs.
• Define release priorities and support sprint planning.
• Drive adoption of Agile, Lean, Scrum, and DevSecOps practices.
• Collaborate with leaders, engineering teams, and customers to define requirements, KPIs, and success metrics.
• Act as voice of the customer throughout the lifecycle.
• Develop customer personas and user journeys.
• Communicate priorities, progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Support modernization of legacy engineering applications and platforms.
• Improve data quality, governance, and business processes.
• Promote secure development lifecycle practices and cybersecurity requirements.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and standards.
• Mange and develop a team of Product Owners, analysts, and engineers.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and career development.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Support onboarding and development of internal/external resources.
• Manage product budgets and investments; monitor resources and spending.
• Partner with vendors and manage contracts; conduct vendor reviews.
• Establish product performance metrics and operational KPIs.
• Govern data, cybersecurity, compliance, and system usage.
• Serve as SME for assigned engineering technology solutions.
