Rain is seeking an IT Systems/Automation Engineer to own end-user support, onboarding/offboarding, asset management, and SaaS governance across multiple offices. You will design automation in Python/JavaScript, manage identity via Okta, and coordinate vendor security reviews with the IT Manager.

A strong SaaS stack (Google Workspace, Slack, JumpCloud, CrowdStrike) is essential. Flexible, hybrid work options are available, with an emphasis on secure, scalable IT operations and security

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT support, IT systems engineering or automation engineering, ideally at a startup or hypergrowth company.
• Hands-on Okta administration experience including SSO, MFA, Group Rules and Universal Directory; Okta Workflows a strong plus.
• Scripting and automation proficiency in Python and JavaScript for API interaction and system management.
• Familiarity with modern SaaS and endpoint stack (Google Workspace, Slack, JumpCloud, CrowdStrike).
• Hands-on experience with office networking and AV (UniFi) and onsite infrastructure across multiple offices.
• Knowledge of SOC 2, PCI DSS and GDPR and IT controls mapping.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day end user support across hardware, software, accounts and access requests, serving as the primary contact through Console helpdesk and Slack.
• Run IT onboarding/offboarding, device provisioning through JumpCloud and Apple Business Manager, and new hire IT/security sessions.
• Manage IT assets and inventory across offices through lifecycle planning and accurate tracking.
• Document and improve IT processes, workflows, runbooks, and onboarding guides to reduce recurring tickets.
• Manage the SaaS portfolio, including licenses, renewals, upgrades and rightsizing spend.
• Lead vendor management and vendor security reviews, negotiating pricing and terms for approved tools.
• Oversee onsite IT, networking and AV across Rain offices (UniFi network management, conference rooms, security).
• Design automation to reduce manual toil, build identity automation in Okta, and create internal integrations.
