Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking an experienced IT Operations Engineer to lead and optimize our global infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud. Based in Lake Mary, FL, this role emphasizes enterprise-grade uptime, security, and scalable IT services across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in IT operations, certifications (MCSE/CCNA/CISSP/VCP), and deep experience with DevOps, Jira, and modern networking/storage technologies.

Qualifications

• Accredited two- or four-year degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in IT Operations.
• MCSE, CCNA, CISSP, and/or VCP certifications or comparable equivalents preferred.
• Working understanding of DevOps methodologies, Scrum, Agile, and tools such as Jira.
• Expert-level knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including cloud services, networking, storage, and virtualization.
• Expert-level knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, SD-WAN, VLANs, QoS, and load balancing.
• Experience supporting engineering teams and PaaS/SaaS integrations.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills across departments and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with MHIA Shared Services to execute insource pivot for network & infrastructure solutions.
• Deploy monitoring and observability capabilities for hybrid cloud environments.
• Lead design and implementation of new technical processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs across IT functions and audit trails.
• Migrate legacy on-premises IT to cloud and manage the roadmaps.
• Collaborate with vendors to optimize IT investments and security posture.
• Create, maintain, and update systems documentation and training for IT teams.
