Job summary

Quantiq is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to manage and optimize core IT infrastructure, ensuring uptime and performance across servers, networks, storage, and databases. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues, work with the Operations and Technical teams, and implement pragmatic IT solutions to support trading operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT operations, systems engineering, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and tools (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)
• Exceptional capability debugging and solving complex issues related to both hardware, low level software, and networking
• Knowledge of network architecture
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to respond to occasional off-hour emergencies

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and optimize IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and databases
• Oversee the full system lifecycle, including provisioning, installation, configuration, asset management, monitoring, maintenance, and decommissioning of various systems
• Work with vendors to procure and deploy new hardware
• Respond to issues and requests from the Operations and Technical teams
