Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a DevOps, Systems Engineering, or related role
  • Proven ability to build, optimize, and scale Linux-based infrastructure
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, C++)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to respond to occasional off-hour emergencies
  • Knowledge of network architecture and performance tuning
  • Experience with networking tools (ping, ifconfig, telnet, wireshark, nmcli)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current systems, identify gaps, and lead improvements for performance and scalability
  • Fine-tune Linux kernel and user-space to minimize latency
  • Design and manage real-time networking configurations for low-latency trading
  • Implement automation solutions using scripting languages
  • Work with hardware (FPGAs, high-speed switches) to optimize latency
  • Develop and document backup procedures and failover strategies
  • Respond to operational issues and requests from teams
