Job summary

Rodan + Fields Beauty is seeking a Senior Engineer, IT Operations, Infrastructure & Cloud to design, operate, and secure our cloud and on‑premise systems. You’ll own GCP infrastructure, Fortinet and Extreme Networks networks, Akamai CDN/WAF, OpenVPN remote access, and the Microsoft 365 E5 security stack, ensuring high availability and strong security across the business.

The role emphasizes hands‑on engineering, automation of manual tasks, and collaboration with security and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, IT, or equivalent.
• 5–8 years in IT operations, infra, or cloud ops.
• Hands-on with GCP in production.
• Experience with Fortinet firewalls and enterprise switching.
• Familiarity with Akamai services and OpenVPN.
• Knowledge of Microsoft E5 security tools.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform) and automation.
• Strong networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
• Leadership or coaching of a service desk is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage GCP infrastructure (Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, Cloud Storage).
• Own cloud cost optimization, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Build and maintain IaC and CI/CD pipelines for repeatable deployments.
• Monitor environments with Cloud Monitoring/Logging; drive uptime improvements.
• Administer Fortinet firewalls and Extreme Networks switching; manage Akamai services and OpenVPN.
• Manage Microsoft 365 E5 security tools; support Defender and email security.
• Provide leadership to TechBar/Service Desk; enforce SLAs and coaching.
