Job summary

The Information Technology Network Engineer III (Network Management) at MacDill AFB, FL is a regular full-time position requiring DoD clearance and US citizenship, focused on upgrading MARCENT voice/video LAN/WAN networks and data center infrastructure.

Candidates will design, implement, and support secure voice, video, and networking solutions, coordinate across organizations, and maintain operations during core hours with occasional after-hours support.

Qualifications

• DoD IAT Level 1 or higher certification required.
• NET+ certification required.
• Voice/Video Network Certification (Cisco preferred).
• 8+ years' experience in IT networking, voice, video, LAN/WAN, VoIP, and VTC.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain equipment in support of voice over IP and video teleconferencing.
• Recommend new technologies for use with operational sites.
• Optimize data center infrastructure for enhanced functionality, security and management.
• Assist with architecture and implementation of network and security solutions meeting command requirements.
• Coordinate with users and all organizational levels.
• Support a client base of customers in a service oriented environment.
• Ensure services cover core hours 0600 to 1800 Mon-Fri; be available for after-hours as needed.
• Support system maintenance every Thursday from 1900 to 2300.
