Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services LLC is seeking a network engineering professional for MacDill AFB, FL, supporting GSM-O II and JCSE. The role focuses on new capability requirements, system assessments, and hands-on engineering for secure, scalable networks.

You will deliver Tier III support, cybersecurity mitigations, and design solutions aligned with DoD standards while collaborating with federal customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a related field with 4–8 years of relevant experience.
• Current DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+).
• CCNP Enterprise certification.

Responsibilities

• Providing Tier III routing and switching support with hands-on experience designing, testing, and implementing IGP/EGP/MPLS/VRF/NFV on an enterprise network.
• Optimizing end-to-end network performance from LAN to WAN to CAN and data center.
• Assisting government customers with deriving design objectives, specs, performance requirements, and interoperability specs.
• Ensuring system design adheres to DoD standards, RMF cybersecurity requirements, and best practices.
• Developing presentations for stakeholders outlining gaps, requirements, objectives, and architecture.
• Creating and updating briefs, papers, and spreadsheets to meet customer needs.
• Providing analyses showing how requirements will be met during design, test, and deployment of initial capabilities.
