Job summary

New Mexico Public Education Department seeks an IT/Network Administrator in Santa Fe to manage and support a multi-platform environment. The role focuses on on-site technical support, network maintenance, and data-driven planning for enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, plus two years of network administration experience, or an equivalent six-year combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, Engineering or related field with two years of network administration experience.
Equivalent combination of education and experience totaling six years may substitute for the degree/experience requirement.
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico driver's license.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day on-site administrative support for software users.
Maintain network hardware and software, analyze problems, and monitor the network to ensure availability to system users.
Gather data to identify customer needs and evaluate system and network requirements.
Ensure the design of the organization's computer site allows all components to fit together and work properly.
Support NM Public Education Department computer users and customers.
