Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services is seeking a Manager IV to lead the Regional Office Support Group, directing strategic IT initiatives and ensuring cost-effective, compliant services for DSHS customers in the Austin area.

The role requires 3+ years of leadership in technical teams, deep Windows/AD knowledge, and experience with Remedy or Helix. Telework may be available; travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience leading a technical team or project.
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 in a LAN/WAN environment.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and IT ticketing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the Regional Office support group.
• Provide technical direction on architecture and standards to staff and customers.
• Assist with contract management, vendor relations, and cost reductions where possible.
• Advise customers and ensure service levels meet organizational guidelines.
• Develop and manage staff through performance reviews and training.
• Ensure compliance with policies and coordinate resources across sections.
• Input to budget and optimize resource use while leading complex projects.
