Job summary

Maze Therapeutics seeks a Senior Director, Information Technology to lead the strategy, operations, security, and evolution of Maze’s enterprise technology, reporting to the SVP, Technology & Business Operations.

This role balances strategic planning with hands-on execution, leads the internal IT team, manages MSPs to deliver reliable, secure services, and partners with Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Legal, HR, and Research to modernize workflows and expand AI adoption.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive IT experience with 5+ years in technology leadership.
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other highly regulated environments; clinical-stage and public-company experience preferred.
• Proven success leading enterprise IT in a cloud-first, SaaS-based environment.
• Experience managing MSPs and strategic technology partners.
• Strong cybersecurity, business continuity, disaster recovery, and compliance experience.
• Familiarity with SOX, GDPR, GxP, GAMP 5, and computer system validation.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications, identity and access management, endpoint management, networking, and end-user services.
• Experience improving operations through automation and emerging technologies, including AI.
• Strong business judgment, communication skills, and ability to partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through change while remaining hands-on when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT strategy and enterprise IT services acrossMaze’s environment.
• Oversee MSP-enabled operating model and partner governance.
• Strengthen cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance programs.
• Partner with Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Legal, HR, Research, and Informatics to align IT with business needs.
• Drive AI governance, architecture, and adoption across the company.
• Develop and mentor IT leadership teams and build a high-performing organization.
• Deliver reliable, scalable, and secure technology services with measurable outcomes.
