Job summary

Maze Therapeutics, Inc. in South San Francisco seeks a Senior Director, Information Technology to lead strategy, operations, security, and the evolution of Maze’s enterprise technology.

The role requires onsite presence at least three days per week and reports to the SVP, Technology & Business Operations. You will guide the IT organization, partner with MSPs and strategic partners, scale the technology environment for global development, and advance AI and automation while strengthening

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in technology leadership.
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or another highly regulated environment; clinical-stage and public-company experiences strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise IT in a cloud-first, SaaS-based environment.
• Experience managing MSPs and strategic technology partners.
• Strong cybersecurity, business continuity, disaster recovery, and compliance experience.
• Familiarity with SOX, GDPR, GxP, GAMP 5, and computer system validation.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications, identity and access management, endpoint management, networking, and end-user services.
• Experience improving operations through automation and emerging technologies, including AI.
• Strong business judgment, communication skills, and ability to partner effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through change while remaining hands-on when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, operations, security, and evolution of Maze’s enterprise technology environment.
• Lead IT team and manage MSPs and partners to deliver secure IT services.
• Scale technology environment to support clinical programs and global development.
• Partner with Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Legal, HR, Research, Informatics, and other functions.
• Strengthen cybersecurity and compliance across the organization.
• Improve employee technology experience and leverage AI and automation company-wide.
• Develop and execute IT strategy and roadmap aligned with business growth and compliance.
