Job summary

KIPP Kansas City Public Schools in Kansas City, MO seeks a Senior Manager of Information Technology to lead the district's technology vision, security, and daily operations, ensuring secure, reliable access to digital tools for students, teachers, and staff.

The role oversees network engineering, systems administration, cybersecurity, user support (Help Desk), and hardware deployment, aligning with instructional goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role.
• Preferred: experience in K-12 public schools or higher education.
• Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+, or Google Workspace Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, implementation, maintenance, and scalability of district networks and servers.
• Manage hybrid infrastructure with IAM and SSO for active users.
• Lead cybersecurity posture, MFA, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Direct IT Help Desk, vendor relations, and budget oversight.
