Job summary

KIPP Kansas City Public Schools in Missouri seeks a Senior Manager of Information Technology to set the strategic vision, run daily IT operations, and ensure secure access to digital tools for students, teachers, and staff.

You will lead network engineering, IAM/SSO, hardware lifecycle, and compliance with FERPA, COPPA, and CIPA, partnering with district leadership to align technology with instructional goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive IT experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
• K-12 public school district or higher education experience preferred.
• Certifications in CISSP, CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+ or Google/Microsoft admin certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain district IT infrastructure and networks.
• Oversee cybersecurity posture including MFA, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Manage Help Desk and user support with strong SLA enforcement.
• Lead budgeting, procurement, and vendor relations for IT programs.
• Ensure compliance with FERPA, COPPA, and CIPA requirements.
• Communicate technology strategies and performance to stakeholders.
