Job summary

KIPP Kansas City Public Schools seeks a Senior Manager of Information Technology to lead the district’s tech strategy, security, and infrastructure. You will oversee networks, cloud environments, and hardware, ensuring secure, equitable access for students, teachers, and staff.

You will manage IAM/SSO, supervise hardware lifecycles, and drive IT governance, budgets, and vendor relationships across multiple sites, reporting to the Operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive IT experience with 3+ years in supervision.
• Experience in K-12 or education settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, implementation, maintenance, and scalability of networks and servers.
• Manage IAM and SSO for active users in a hybrid infrastructure.
• Lead IT Help Desk, KPIs, SLAs, and customer-service oriented culture.
• Develop and manage IT budgets and E‑Rate funding utilization.
• Negotiate contracts with software vendors and hardware providers.
