Job summary

Distyl AI, based in San Francisco, seeks a Senior IT Manager to build and lead an IT organization scaling from ~180 to 500+ employees globally. You will establish onboarding/offboarding, access management, and endpoint compliance while aligning with Engineering, Security, Legal, and Finance to support growth in SF, NYC, and international sites.

You will oversee security controls, audits, continuity planning, and incident response, ensuring secure operations for distributed teams and regulated

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive IT or corporate technology experience with team leadership.
• Proven ability to prioritize initiatives in fast-growing environments with limited resources.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to partner with executives and stakeholders.
• Experience hiring, developing, and leading IT/security teams.
• Deep expertise in identity and access management, endpoint management, and security controls.
• Experience enabling audits and compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing IT team with clear ownership.
• Own IT strategy, roadmap, budget, and operating model to support growth.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, Legal, Finance, People, and Operations across locations.
• Implement and operate security controls and support audits and compliance initiatives.
• Deliver reliable IT services across on-site and remote environments.
• Automate onboarding/offboarding and build AI-powered workflows to scale.
