Magic is seeking a Head of IT in San Francisco to own and scale the company’s IT operations. You will lead a small team, drive automation, and set technical direction while staying hands-on with critical infrastructure and incident response.

You will manage the core stack (SSO, SCIM, MFA, MDM, Google Workspace, Slack), partner with Security, and govern office tech across locations as the company grows. Equity is a significant part of total compensation.

Qualifikationen

• Leadership of IT function in a fast-paced technical environment.
• Hands-on contributor who can architect and implement IT solutions.
• Deep experience with macOS, MDM, Google Workspace, SaaS, identity and access.
• Proficiency in automation, APIs, AI tools, and Bash/Python to reduce manual work.
• Strong security expertise across endpoints, identity, access, vulnerability management, and incident response.

• Own IT function end-to-end: systems, endpoints, identity, SaaS, office infrastructure, support, and IT security.
• Lead a small team, set direction, priorities and technical standards.
• Make automation the default and enable self-service across the org.
• Own core stack: SSO, SCIM, MFA, MDM, Google Workspace, and Slack.
• Collaborate with Security on least privilege, patching, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Oversee office tech across locations, networking, AV, and conference rooms.
• Build scalable IT systems, processes and controls as Magic grows.
