Lumos Networks Corp. is seeking an IT Engineer – Infrastructure Network to lead and execute strategic planning, deployment, and support of enterprise network infrastructure across Lumos technology systems.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, security, and scalable back‑office platforms. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in network infrastructure, degrees in CS/CE, and preferred certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; 5+ years in network infrastructure administration; certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Securely maintain and support internal and external corporate network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, and virtual networking equipment.
• Provide technical leadership for network infrastructure across the company.
• Monitor and troubleshoot systems, implement VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and cloud connectivity (Salesforce, AWS).
• Investigate incidents, document findings, and coordinate remediation efforts.
