Job summary

Lumos Fiber is seeking an IT Engineer – Infrastructure Network to deliver strategic and hands-on leadership for the enterprise network, supporting back‑office platforms and fiber infrastructure.

You will design, deploy, and monitor network infrastructure, manage VPNs and firewalls, and optimize cloud connectivity with AWS/Azure, while collaborating across teams to reduce risk and improve performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience (M.S. preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in a network infrastructure administration role. Network related certifications preferred (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE).

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal and external corporate network infrastructure incl. routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, and virtual networking equipment.
• Administer DNS, DHCP, and IPAM functionality; implement monitoring for on‑prem and cloud systems (Splunk or similar).
• Provide technical leadership across the company for network infrastructure and secure communications between networks and cloud environments (VPN, Salesforce, AWS).
• Investigate incidents, document findings, and develop custom networking solutions to meet business needs.
