Job summary

Middlesex Community College is seeking a Senior Systems Manager (On-Campus) to lead design, implementation, and support of enterprise IT infrastructure. This role emphasizes multi-vendor integration, security, and service quality, reporting to the Director of IT Infrastructure.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in enterprise systems, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work on-site at the Lowell campus with occasional travel to Bedford.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in IT or higher with 5+ years of enterprise systems experience.
• Experience managing large Windows and Linux environments plus virtualization.
• Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and integrate existing systems with minimal disruption.
• Manage core infrastructure services including Active Directory, virtualization, and VMware.
• Coordinate with external vendors on system design and support.
• Automate manual processes to reduce operational workload.
• Design and develop new technology solutions and standards.
• Provide escalation support and strong customer service.
