Job summary

Middlesex Community College in Lowell is seeking a Senior Systems Manager to lead the IT Infrastructure team, designing information systems that support college operations and drive adoption of new technologies across multi-vendor platforms.

The on-site role requires coordinating complex, cross-system initiatives, delivering reliable enterprise services, and mentoring staff while ensuring security, data protection, and superior IT services for students, faculty, and administration.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to analyze complex technical issues, prioritize likely causes, and develop remediation plans.
• Excellent customer service orientation and commitment to end-user success.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise systems management and configuration management tools.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization, and networking basics.
• Experience with ERP or student information systems and data integration tools.
• Experience implementing disaster recovery and backup solutions.
• Understanding PKI/certificate lifecycle management and secure computing practices.

Responsibilities
