Job summary
Jobot is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer / IT Generalist to join our client’s technology services team in Virginia Beach. You’ll work across networking, servers, cloud, cybersecurity, and physical security, driving infrastructure excellence while mentoring engineers and delivering top‑tier customer service.
The role requires hands‑on leadership, independent problem solving, and a track record of delivering complex projects in enterprise environments.
Qualifications
- 10+ years hands-on IT infrastructure and systems administration.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently.
- Experience leading technical projects.
- Excellent customer-facing communication and documentation skills.
- MSP experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex IT infrastructure.
- Escalation for networking, server, cloud, and security issues.
- Lead deployments, upgrades, migrations, and refresh projects.
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Install and maintain physical and virtual servers.
- Provide remote and onsite customer service.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Maintain technical documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, security, and efficiency.
