Job summary

Bowman Williams in Baltimore, MD is seeking an MSP Project Engineer or Systems Engineer who enjoys building, deploying, and modernizing IT environments rather than ticket queues. You will lead infrastructure deployments, own projects from planning through implementation, and serve as the technical lead during client deployments and upgrades.

Qualifications

• 5+ years MSP project or systems engineering experience.
• Strong Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and infrastructure deployment experience.
• Hands-on VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization experience.
• Strong networking knowledge including firewalls, VPNs, switching, wireless.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure projects including office relocations, server deployments, rack-and-stack installations, client onboarding, and technology refreshes.
• Execute project plans, migrations, cutovers, and infrastructure implementations remotely and onsite.
• Deploy and support Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, virtualization, networking, and endpoint solutions.
• Configure and troubleshoot VMware, Hyper-V, firewalls, VPNs, wireless infrastructure, and switching.
• Identify opportunities to improve client environments through modernization, security enhancements, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and communicate progress with clients and internal teams.
• Deliver exceptional client service while partnering closely with Project Managers, Architects, and Engineering leadership.
