Job summary

Benchwood Foods is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to deliver advanced IT infrastructure support across the organization. You will manage Windows Server, AD, M365/Exchange Online, VMware, cloud services, and security tooling while mentoring junior staff.

Join a manufacturing IT environment with on-site operations in Wisconsin and occasional travel to other sites. You will drive incident resolution, system reliability, and automation through PowerShell and documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT or a related field.
5+ years of IT infrastructure engineering, systems administration, and advanced technical support.
Experience supporting mission-critical or enterprise production systems.
Experience with incident management, escalation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical support for complex infrastructure and applications.
Administer Windows Server environments, AD, DNS/DHCP, file services, and RDS.
Manage Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure, and Entra ID.
Administer VMware vCenter/vSphere/ESXi; provision and retire VMs.
Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, switches, firewalls, and storage networking.
Support security controls, incident response, vulnerability remediation, and audits.
Develop automation using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and diagrams.
Participate in projects, migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
