Job summary

Cal Poly Humboldt is seeking a Director of Infrastructure Services who will provide strategic, operational, personnel, technical, and budgetary leadership for campus core technology infrastructure. This role oversees Telecommunications, Network Services, Systems Administration, and datacenter infrastructure with a focus on security, reliability, and scalable services across the university.

The Director partners with ITS leadership, Facilities, vendors, and stakeholders to modernize and improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, telecommunications, network engineering, systems administration, information technology, public administration, business administration, or a related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in information technology infrastructure, network services, telecommunications, systems administration, datacenter operations, cloud‑hosted services, enterprise infrastructure services, or related work.
• Three years of experience supervising or leading, professional, technical, or operational staff.

Responsibilities

• Directs Infrastructure Services with responsibility for strategic leadership, budgeting, and service delivery.
• Oversees Telecommunications, Network Services, Systems Administration, and datacenter infrastructure.
• Leads infrastructure architecture, lifecycle planning, and long‑term technology roadmaps.
