Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to ensure efficient operation and security of data centers, Azure systems, and centralized servers. You will lead IT engineering teams to build, maintain, and support solutions per policy.

Responsibilities include policy deployment, DR planning, documentation, and coordinating with vendors to secure network, cloud, and data center services. Strong Azure and VMware experience is required.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in computer science and/or 10+ years equivalent work experience.
• Certifications in Microsoft Azure equivalent to MCSE, VMware VCP-DCV (advanced), Cisco CCNP and ITIL are required.
• Strong system administration (Linux/Unix and Windows) at the command-line level.
• Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code tools.

Responsibilities

• Aids the IT Infrastructure Manager in IT strategy development with focus on service delivery.
• Deploys, manages, and maintains enterprise infrastructure, BCDR, and disaster recovery.
• Designs redundant systems and ensures data protection and integrity.
• Interacts with vendors/contractors to secure cloud and data center products.
