Job summary

ITAC Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its Enterprise IT team in the Philadelphia area. This hands-on leadership role focuses on guiding infrastructure strategy, standards, and modernization across a complex enterprise environment.

You will work on Windows/Linux servers, AD, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and VMware in a high-visibility setting with opportunities to shape critical technology initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in systems engineering or related technical field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PowerShell, and enterprise identity services.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter, including high availability and virtual infrastructure management.
• Experience with enterprise storage, SAN/NAS, backup and recovery, replication, disaster recovery, and capacity management.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, hybrid identity, MFA, and Conditional Access.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level engineering, administration, and support for enterprise systems infrastructure.
• Administer and support Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, certificate services, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, virtualization, storage, backup and monitoring platforms.
• Manage and support VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, high availability, clustering, and virtual infrastructure lifecycle activities.
• Support enterprise storage, SAN/NAS, backup and recovery, replication, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities.
• Serve as a third-level escalation point for complex server, identity, virtualization, storage, cloud, security, and performance issues.
• Participate in infrastructure architecture, solution design, system integration, capacity planning, migrations, upgrades, and major technology initiatives.
• Participate in after-hours or on-call support for escalated production issues as needed.
