Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lead IT Implementation Specialist to drive enterprise-wide laboratory system implementations, validations, upgrades, and enhancements. This role blends clinical laboratory expertise with IT deployment experience to ensure successful adoption of LIS solutions across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have MLS/MLT-type experience and track record in implementing laboratory information systems, with a focus on validation, deployment, and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years in a clinical laboratory environment.
• 2+ years in IT implementation, validation, systems deployment, or related technical roles.
• 2+ years collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• 1+ years leading enterprise-scale IT implementations supporting laboratory functions.
• 2+ years in system integration, operational transition, or change enablement activities.
• 2+ years contributing to implementation frameworks, standards, methodologies, or best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of complex IT implementation initiatives across laboratory systems and technology solutions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to manage deliverables, dependencies, risks, and timelines.
• Develop and manage implementation plans aligned with business requirements, technical specs, regulatory expectations, and operations.
• Lead validation activities for laboratory systems, software enhancements, upgrades, and new technology.
• Provide technical guidance and implementation expertise to project teams and stakeholders.
• Support adoption and readiness of laboratory solutions within operations.
• Identify and resolve implementation issues to ensure successful delivery.
• Support integration of laboratory systems with enterprise technology platforms and workflows.
• Drive continuous improvement of implementation methodologies and deployment standards.
• Create and maintain implementation documentation, validation records, training materials, and support docs.
