Job summary

Interpath Laboratory, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Systems Specialist to support LIS and enterprise clinical applications.

The role blends clinical lab knowledge with software expertise to design, implement, and maintain configurations and instrument interfaces while ensuring quality outcomes. You will validate and document workflows, capture business needs, and analyze internal systems for optimal utilization of the applications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of medical laboratory instrumentation operation and configuration.
• ASCP or AMT MLS/MLT certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of Interpath LIS experience preferred.
• 2+ years of DI Instrument Manager user experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain configurations in the LIS and related enterprise clinical laboratory applications while ensuring quality outcomes.
• Design, implement, and maintain instrument interfaces in DI Instrument Manager and LIS.
• Design, implement, and maintain configurations on the laboratory automation line and QA applications.
• Validate, document, and perform workflow assessments and impact analysis.
• Capture business needs and analyze internal systems to determine requirements for optimal utilization of applications.
• Maintain documentation to ensure CAP and regulatory compliance.
• Proactively recognize work that needs to be completed and prioritize effectively.
• Communicate with team members, vendor reps, and end users.
• Use SQL, Cache ObjectScript, and related tools to configure instrument settings.
• Maintain consistent, reliable attendance.
• Perform related duties as required and evolve with the role.
