Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr IT Governance Analyst to provide counsel on IT controls, risk management, and audits. The role partners with the AI Center of Excellence to align internal AI development with governance standards and supports process improvement across the software development lifecycle.

This contract-to-hire opportunity requires W2 eligibility, with a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, and life insurance. Rate: $42.00 to $52.00/hr. w2.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years IT governance experience including risk and compliance.
• 1 to 2 years AI governance exposure preferred.
• Hands-on with NIST and NAIC frameworks; able to navigate governance forums.
• Audit coordination experience with internal stakeholders and external firms.
• Healthcare/insurance industry experience preferred.
• Exposure to AI tools like watsonx and Copilot is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject expert on IT governance, controls, and risk management for leaders and business areas.
• Drive improvements to the software development lifecycle, including documentation and control implementation.
• Oversee and coordinate IT audits, ensuring effective communication with internal teams and external firms.
• Identify systemic IT control weaknesses, recommend remediation actions, and elevate to secure resources.
• Create, implement, and manage IT risk management processes, policies, procedures, standards, and controls.
• Lead complex IT process change initiatives with cross-division impact and critical dependencies.
• Manage and prioritize a portfolio of change initiatives and gather inputs to define future efforts.
• Collaborate with the AI Center of Excellence to apply governance guidelines and standards for traditional, generative, and agentic AI solutions.
